These Criminal Petitions have been filed by the petitioner/accused No.1 seeking to quash the proceedings in Crime No.101 of 2024 of Karimnagar Women Police Station, registered for the offence under Section 4 of the Muslim Women (Protection of Rights on Marriage) Act, 2019 and C.C.No.613 of 2019 on the file of the IV Additional Junior Civil Judge-cum-Judicial Magistrate of First Class (Excise) Court, Karimnagar, for the offences under Section 498-A of the Indian Penal Code, 1860 and Section 4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act, 1961, respectively.

2. Heard Mr.M.Saleem, learned counsel for the petitioner, Mr.Talla Ashok, learned counsel for respondent No.2 in Crl.P. No.1367 of 2026, Ms.B.Pallavi, learned counsel for respondent No.2 in Crl.P.No.1444 of 2026 and Mr.Jithendar Rao Veeramalla, learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing on behalf of respondent No.1 in both the criminal petitions.

3.1 Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that accused Nos.2 and 4 to 7 in C.C.No.613 of 2019 have approached this Court and filed Criminal Petition No.5983 of 2020 seeking to quash the proceedings. During the pendency of the said Criminal Petition, at the instance of the well wishers, relatives and elders, the parties have settled the disputes pending between them and the matter was sent to the Mediation Centre and both the parties have submitted comprehensive settlement and the matter has been settled before the Mediation Centre and the Co-ordinator (I/C), Mediation Centre, High Court Legal Services Committee, Hyderabad, submitted report dated 24.01.2026. Pursuant to the said report, this Court closed the said Criminal Petition on 06.02.2026.

3.2 He further submitted that the petitioner filed the present Criminal Petitions through his General Power of Attorney, who is none other than his maternal uncle, and was identified by this Court in Crl.P.No.5983 of 2020. In view of the report submitted by the Co- ordinator (I/C), Mediation Centre, High Court Legal Services Committee, Hyderabad, identification of the petitioner or his G.P.A. holder or respondent No.2/de-facto complainant is not required in the present case. Accordingly, the parties have filed I.A.Nos.4 and 5 of 2026 in both the criminal petitions seeking permission to compromise the matter and to compound the offences.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of respondent No.2 submitted that they are not having any objection to quash the proceedings in Crime No.101 of 2024 of Karimnagar Women Police Station and C.C.No.613 of 2019 in view of the full and final settlement entered by the parties and also in view of the orders passed by this Court in Crl.P. No.5983 of 2020, dated 06.02.2026.

5. Learned Additional Public Prosecutor has not opposed the same. 6. Taking into consideration the above said submissions and in view of the report dated 24.01.2026 submitted by the Co-ordinator (I/C), Mediation Centre, High Court Legal Services Committee, Hyderabad, in Crl.P. No.5983 of 2020, I.A.Nos.4 and 5 of 2026 in both the criminal petitions are allowed. Consequently, the proceedings in Crime No.101 of 2024 of Karimnagar Women Police Station, and C.C.No.613 of 2019 on the file of the IV Additional Junior Civil Judge- cum-Judicial Magistrate of First Class (Excise) Court, Karimnagar, against the petitioner are quashed.

7. Accordingly, both the Criminal Petitions are allowed, subject to payment of Rs.20,000/- (Rupees twenty thousand only) to the High Court Legal Services Committee, Hyderabad, by the petitioner, on or before 21.02.2026.

Miscellaneous applications, pending if any, shall stand closed.
