ORDER:

This writ petition is filed questioning the action of respondents in disconnecting water and sewerage connection to the premises bearing No.3-4-125 to 3-4-127, Lingampally, Barkatpura, Hyderabad – 29 (hereinafter referred as “subject property”), without issuing any notice, demanding payment of water / sewerage bill and levying arrears of Rs.4,90,916/- i.e. arrears beyond 3 years prior to issuance of the notice. A consequential prayer is sought to direct the respondents for re- connection of water and sewerage connection in respect of the subject property and further to issue proper bill with all the details and payable arrears of charges, as per law, to enable the petitioner to pay the dues if any.

2. Though various grounds are raised in the writ petition, learned counsel for the petitioner confined her submissions to the extent of disposal of petitioner’s representation dated

05.02.2026 pending before respondent No.2.

Mr. A.Veeresh Kumar, learned Standing Counsel for Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply & Sewerage Board appearing on behalf of respondent Nos.2 and 3 and learned counsel representing Mr. G.Madhusudhan Reddy, learned Standing Counsel for GHMC, who takes notice on behalf of respondent Nos.4 and 5, would submit that to the extent of disposing of the pending petitioner’s representation dated 05.02.2026 before respondent No.2, appropriate orders may be passed.

4. Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondent Nos.2 to 5.

Recording the submissions of learned counsel appearing for petitioner and respondents, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, the respondent No.2 is directed to consider the petitioner’s representation dated 05.02.2026 and after giving a fair opportunity of hearing, shall pass appropriate orders strictly in accordance with law within a period of two (02)

weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. With the above directions, this writ petition is disposed of.

There shall be no order as to costs.

As a sequel thereto, miscellaneous applications if any pending in this petition, shall stand closed.
