Even today there is no representation on behalf of the appellant. We have heard Mr.Salar Aatif, learned counsel representing Mr.S.Niranjan Reddy, learned counsel for the respondent. We have perused the record.

2. This is an appeal preferred under Section 19 of the Family Courts Act, 1984 read with Section 28 of the Hindu Marriage Act, 1955 challenging the order dated 05.01.2008 in F.C.O.P.No.294 of 2005 passed by the learned Family Court, Hyderabad.

3. Appellant is the wife and respondent is the husband. Their marriage was performed on 11.06.2003 as per Hindu rites and caste customs. It is an arranged marriage. Respondent/husband has filed a petition under Section 13(1)(ia) of the Hindu Marriage Act, 1955 seeking dissolution of marriage on the ground of cruelty contending that from the beginning, the behavior of the appellant/wife was not normal and she did not discharge her normal duties as a wife. She was always pretending that she was suffering from ill-health. On many occasions, she tried to commit suicide and also tried to kill the respondent/husband with a kitchen knife. She used to remove kumkuma and other things and dress like a widow saying that her husband died and she became a widow. When respondent/husband consulted his employer, who is a Doctor, she opined that the behavior of the appellant indicates that she is suffering from Schizophrenia. When the respondent tried to take the appellant to a Psychiatrist, she refused to come. On the advice of his employer, respondent/husband showed much love and affection on the appellant, even then she did not change.

4. On 09.08.2003 without informing the respondent, appellant left the matrimonial house and went to her native village i.e., Podugupalem, Visakhapatnam. Then, respondent went to the native place of the appellant and after much persuasion, she joined his company on 11.11.2003. On 12.11.2003, appellant again left the matrimonial house and went to her native place. Respondent tried many times to convince the appellant and requested her to join him but she refused to do so. Brother of the appellant informed the respondent that his sister is suffering from mental disorder right from her childhood and he demanded an amount of Rs.2,00,000/-. When the respondent refused to give the said amount, he threatened him that he will lodge a false complaint against him before the Police.

5. Appellant has filed the counter denying the said allegations. According to her, respondent harassed her. Respondent used to compel the appellant to work in the house of his employer - Doctor as a maid servant and when appellant refused to do so, he intentionally spoiled the good and healthy atmosphere of the house. He has neglected the appellant and forcibly took the appellant to Podugupalem on the pretext that he would be out of Hyderabad from 15.08.2003 to 30.08.2003 and asked the appellant to come back to Hyderabad on 09.09.2003. Respondent brought the appellant to Hyderabad on 02.11.2003 and from 02.11.2003 to 12.11.2003 and harassed her mentally and on 12.11.2003 respondent necked her out of the house in spite of her protest then as she did not have other option, appellant went to her native place with one Suri Babu on the same day.

6. Out of the wedlock, appellant and respondent were blessed with a male child on 09.03.2004 and the child was born with some congenital defects and unfortunately, the newly born child died. Appellant sought mediation in the matter between herself and respondent and in pursuance of her request, Sri Lekkala Ramanaidu of Appalarajapuram, Dogga Annamnaidu, Ex-Sarpanch to Kaligotal Village and her brother Krishna Murthy went respondent’s house
