ORDER:

This Writ Petition is filed challenging the action of official respondents in not considering the representation of the petitioners dated 17.05.2024.

2. Heard Sri Anirudh Nelikonda, learned counsel for the petitioner, Sri Pydi Lakshmana Rao, learned Standing Counsel for UGC, for respondent No.1, Sri B.Jithender, learned Standing Counsel for Central Government, for respondent Nos.2 and 3, Sri C.V.Rajeeva Reddy, learned counsel for respondent No.4 and Sri A. Nagaraj Kumar, learned counsel for respondent No.5. Perused the record.

3. Learned counsel for the petitioner made submissions on the lines of writ affidavit and requested this Court to direct official respondents to consider the petitioners’ representation dated 17.05.2024 as expeditiously as possible.

4. Learned Standing Counsel for Central Government, for respondent Nos.2 and 3 submits that if the said petitioners’ representation is still pending for consideration the official respondents may be directed to consider the said petitioners’ representation and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law.

5. In view of the submissions made by learned counsel appearing on either side and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this Writ Petition is disposed of directing the official respondents to consider the petitioners’ representation dated 17.05.2024 and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law within a period of four (04) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the same to the petitioner. No costs.

Miscellaneous applications, if any pending, shall stand closed.
