State of Telangana – Respondent
WRIT PETITON No.6200 OF 2026
For the Appellants/Petitioners: Sattar Manoj
For the Respondents: L.Ravinder
The court directed revenue authorities to consider and decide upon a pending application for mutation of land records within a specified timeframe after the petitioners established their claim as legal heirs of the original purchaser.
Headnote:The petitioners sought a declaration that the failure of the revenue authorities to consider an online application for mutation of land records was illegal and arbitrary. The land, measuring Ac.0-04 guntas in Survey No.375, Parkibanda Village, was originally purchased by the petitioners' father via a registered sale deed in 1986. The petitioners, as legal heirs, applied for mutation via Challan No.PMM2500036551 dated 14.11.2025, which remained pending. The court found that the application required consideration in accordance with the law. The primary issue was whether the delay in processing the mutation application warranted judicial intervention. The court observed that the government pleader committed to taking appropriate action in accordance with the law, leading the court to direct the authorities to process the application after issuing notices to all concerned parties. this writ petition is disposed of directing respondents No.4 and 5 to consider the petitioners’ online application vide Challan No.PMM2500036551 dated 14.11.2025 for mutating their names in the revenue records in respect of the land admeasuring Ac.0-04 guntas in Survey No.375, situated at Parkibanda Village, Manoharabad Mandal, Medak District, by issuing notice to the petitioners and to all other concerned/interested persons, and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law, within a period of four (4) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
