ORDER

This Writ Petition is filed to issue a writ of Mandamus declaring the action of respondent Nos.2 to 5 in not furnishing information sought by the petitioner as arbitrary and contrary to law.

2. Heard Sri Sudhakar Reddy, learned counsel representing Sri M.Janardhan Rao, learned counsel-on-record for petitioner, and learned Assistant Government Pleader for Information and Technology.

3. Learned counsel for petitioner submitted that the petitioner has submitted an application under the Right to Information Act, 2005 (for brevity, ‘the RTI Act’) on 10.08.2020 before respondent No.5 seeking certain documents, however, the said respondent has not furnished the same within the time stipulated under the RTI Act, hence, aggrieved by the same, the present Writ Petition is filed.

4. Learned Assistant Government Pleader for Information and Technology by referring to application dated 10.08.2020 made by the petitioner submitted that the petitioner has not furnished address to which the documents sought for by him are to be sent therefore, his application could not be considered.

5. Learned counsel for petitioner submitted that liberty may be given to the petitioner to submit a fresh application by duly furnishing his address, and on submission of such application, the respondents may be directed to consider the same within the time stipulated under the RTI Act.

6. Considering the submissions made by learned counsel for both the parties, this Writ Petition is disposed of granting liberty to the petitioner to submit fresh application to respondents, by duly giving his correct address, and on such application being made, the respondents are directed to consider the same within the time stipulated under the RTI Act.

7. Miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, shall stand closed.

No costs.
