Since the issue involved in all the three cases is identical, these three Writ Petitions are being disposed of by way of this common order.

2. For the sake of convenience and to avoid repetition of facts, Writ Petition No. 24362 of 2019 is taken up as the lead case, and the facts therein are referred to for the purpose of adjudication of all the connected writ petitions. The prayer in this petition is as hereunder:

It is also stated that certain vehicles referred to in the writ petition were originally registered as transport (taxi) vehicles and were subsequently converted for personal use. 6. I have perused the material available on record.

7. The grievance of the petitioners is that the respondent- police authorities are interfering with their taxi business by allegedly seizing their vehicles and restricting their entry into the airport premises. On the other hand, the explanation offered by the respondents is that no such seizure has been effected and that the police are acting strictly in accordance with statutory powers, particularly under the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988, and o
