This writ petition is filed to declare the action of respondent Nos.2 to 4 in not taking action against the individuals who have illegally cut the trees at Patelknta HMDA park, Kukatpally, Hyderabad, in pursuance of the representations submitted by the petitioners dated 10.12.2017 and 05.12.2017 along with other walkers of the Patelkunta HMDA park at Kukatpally and further the action of the respondent Nos.2 to 4 in not taking steps to preserve the patelkunta HMDA park and their proposed plan to cut some trees in the Patelkunta HMDA park, Kukatpally, Hyderabad, as illegal and arbitrary and for consequential relief.

2. Sri J.Ashvini Kumar, learned counsel for the petitioners, Sri and 4, and Sri V.Narasimha Goud, learned Standing Counsel for respondent No.2, are present.

3. Learned Counsel for the petitioners would submit that this Court vide interim order dated 11.07.2019 had directed HMDA to ensure that no standing trees are cut and that the trees already cut shall not be removed.

4. Learned Standing Counsel for Respondent No.2 by referring to the counter would submit that subsequent to the filing of the writ petition the respondent No.2 has initiated disciplinary action against the Officer who was responsible for the cutting of trees; and that 40 saplings have been planted in the area where the existing trees were removed.

5. Learned Counsel for the petitioner would further submit that in view of the disciplinary action initiated against the Officer responsible for the cutting of trees, and also planting of saplings in place of the trees which were cut, no further orders are required to be passed.

6. In the light of submissions made by learned counsel for the Nos.2 to 4, the Writ Petition is closed. There shall be no order as to costs.

Miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, shall stand closed.
