Heard Mr. Lingala Sudheer, learned counsel for the petitioner, and Mr. L. Ravinder, learned Assistant Government Pleader for Revenue, appearing for respondent Nos.1 to 5, and Mr. Putta Krishna Reddy, learned standing counsel for Municipalities, appearing for respondent No.6.

It is seen from the record that land admeasuring Acs.3-00 guntas in Survey No.222 of Kammeta Village, Chevella Mandal, Ranga Reddy District, has been handed over to respondent No.6 for the purpose of dumping yard and segregation of compost vide Lr.No.LC1/2503/2025 dated 10.11.2025. Petitioner is Kammeta Gram Panchayat, represented by its Sarpanch. Petitioner - Gram Panchayat passed resolution opposing dumping yard in their village and submitted representation dated 13.04.2026 to respondent No.2 stating that they would be put to severe hardship and health hazards. The proposed site was earlier earmarked for village sports stadium, Harithaharam and Check Dam. Thus, the subject land cannot be used for dumping yard and segregation of compost.

3. Grievance of the petitioner is that respondent authorities are going ahead with the work related to the dumping yard without following due process of law.

In the above circumstances, without going into the merits of the case, the writ petition is disposed of, directing respondent No.2 cancelling the proposal of establishment of dumping yard and segregation of compost in the land admeasuring Acs.3-00 guntas in Survey No.222 of Kammeta Village, Chevella Mandal, Ranga Reddy District, and pass orders, in accordance with law, by affording opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, within a period of four (4) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Pending such exercise, status quo, obtaining as on today, shall be maintained in respect of the subject land. No order as to costs.

As a sequel thereto, miscellaneous applications, if any, pending in the writ petition stand closed.
