ORDER

The Contempt Case is filed seeking punishment to the respondents under Sections 10 to 12 of the Contempt of Courts Act, 1971, for wilful disobedience in implementing the order dated 27.11.2025 passed by this Court in W.P.No.33517 of 2025 and to pass such other order or orders.

2. This Court, vide order dated 27.11.2025, disposed of W.P. No.33517 of 2025, with the following directions:

“4. Having regard to the rival contentions and the material on record, this Court finds that the amount payable to the petitioner is not in dispute. Therefore, respondent No.8, who is responsible for issuance of the cheque, is directed to issue a fresh cheque within a period of one (01) week from today.Respondent No.2, under whose office the concerned officer responsible for disbursement is working, shall make sure that the payment is made within a period of two (02) weeks thereafter.

5. It is made clear that if the payment is not made within the time stipulated above, the amount shall carry interest at the rate of 8% per annum from the date of expiry of the said period till the date of actual payment.”

3. Alleging non-compliance of the said order, the present Contempt Case has been filed.

4. Learned Government Pleader for Finance and Planning and learned Government Pleader for Panchayat Raj and Rural Development, appearing for the respondents, submitted that the order of this Court has been complied with.

5. Ms. K. Kishanmayee, learned counsel representing learned counsel for the petitioner confirms the said submission.

6. Accordingly, the Contempt Case is closed. There shall be no order as to costs. Miscellaneous applications, if any, pending in this Contempt Case, shall stand closed.
