IN THE HIGH COURT FOR THE STATE OF TELANGANA AT HYDERABAD
T. Madhavi Devi, J
Venkateswara Rao – Appellant
Versus
State Of Telangana – Respondent
WRIT PETITION No.16134 OF 2021

A petitioner has the right to withdraw a writ petition, and upon such a request being made by counsel, the court will dismiss the petition as withdrawn.

Headnote:The proceeding involves a request for withdrawal of a writ petition filed seeking revision of seniority and promotion on par with juniors. Upon the application of the petitioner's counsel, the court examined the request for withdrawal. The main issue is whether the petitioner is entitled to withdraw the writ petition at their discretion. The court, noting the request filed by the learned counsel for the petitioners, reasoned that the withdrawal request should be granted. The writ petition is dismissed as withdrawn with no order as to costs.
