:: ORDER ::

Seeking a direction to the respondents No.2 and 3 to take steps for the removal of the instigating and disturbing videos pertaining to the writ petitioner from the social media platforms of the respondents No.6 and 7, and all their agents, on the platforms of the respondents No.4 and 5, pursuant to registration of FIR No.405 of 2026 dated 09.06.2026, this writ petition has been filed.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner, learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home, appearing for the respondents No.1 to 3, Ms.Shireen Sethna Baria, learned counsel for the respondent No.5, and Smt.D.Padmavathi, learned counsel for the respondent Nos.6 and 7.

3. This Court, vide interim order dated 12.06.2026, directed the respondents No.4 and 5 to delete the objectionable material posted through the URLs provided by the respondent No.3 through the “Sahayog Portal” and submit a report to that effect before this Court.

4. Pursuant to the said direction, the respondent No.5 has filed a memo dated 11.08.2026, furnishing the details of the URLs on the Youtube platform, which are not available as on date. Therefore, it appears that the objectionable material has been removed from the social medial platform. Hence, the purpose of filing the present writ petition has been served.

5. The learned counsel for the petitioner, however, requested that a direction may be given to the respondents No.4 and 5 to delete such material whenever it is uploaded on the social medial platform. In view of the aforesaid submission, the petitioner is directed to make a representation whenever such material is uploaded, mentioning the URLs and upon receipt of such a representation, the respondents No.4 and 5 shall take appropriate action for removal of such material.

6. With these directions, this writ petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.

Miscellaneous applications, if any, pending shall stand closed.
