4. The present Writ Petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India has been filed with the following prayers:-

“(i) Issue appropriate writ, order, or direction in the nature of certiorari, quashing the First Information Report lodged by the respondent No. 2 against the petitioners on dated 09.12.2025 which was registered as FIR No. 0409 of 2025 for the alleged offences punishable under Sections 3 & 4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act, 1961, Sections 3/4 of the Muslim Women (Protection of Rights on Marriage) Act, 2019 and Section 351(3), 352 and 85 of B.N.S, 2023, Police Station Ramnagar, District Nainital.

(ii) Issue appropriate writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus directing the Respondent authority not to arrest and harass the Petitioners. ”
