(2) Petitioners have approached this Court for protection. According to them, they are in love; they have got married as per Hindu rites and customs in Haridwar on 21.11.2025; family members of petitioner no. 1 are not happy with their marriage and they are extending threat to their life and liberty.

(3) Petitioners, duly identified by their Counsel, appeared before us. Petitioner no. 1 stated that she is studying in B.Sc. (1st year). Petitioner no. 2 stated that he has studied up to High School and he is employed as machine operator at a stone crusher at Haridwar. Both the petitioners further stated that there is serious threat to their life and liberty from the private respondents. Learned Counsel for the petitioners made a statement that petitioners have applied for registration and their application is pending before Registrar, Compulsory Registration of Marriages.
