1. The present Criminal Writ Petition has been filed seeking quashing of

FIR No. 0031 dated 16 July 2025 registered at P.S. Karnprayag, District Chamoli, under Sections 41 and 42 of the Indian Forest Act, 1927. The FIR alleges that four dumpers, driven by the Petitioners, were transporting RBM without a valid E-Ravanna during the night of 15

July 2025.

2. The Petitioners are drivers of vehicles bearing Nos. UK-07CD-0678,

UK-14CA-9572, UK-14CA-8801 and UK-14CA-9092. The vehicles are owned by different persons but were hired by one Shiv Prasad, a licensed contractor authorised to extract and store RBM. The Petitioners assert that they were transporting RBM from an authorised

storage facility at Kaleshwar.
