Uttarakhand.

The present Criminal Revision has been filed against the judgment and order dated 02.12.2025, passed by the learned Additional Sessions Judge, Kotdwar, District Pauri Garhwal, in Criminal Appeal No. 39 of 2025, “Amit Kumar vs. State of Uttarakhand and Another”, whereby the learned Appellate Court was pleased to dismiss the Criminal Appeal and confirm the order dated 30.06.2025 passed by the learned Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, Kotdwar, District Pauri Garhwal, in Criminal Complaint Case No. 1301 of 2023, “Praveen Bhatia vs. Amit Kumar”. By the said order, the learned Trial Court convicted the Revisionist under Section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881, and sentenced him to undergo simple imprisonment for a period of one year, along with a fine of Rs. 3,00,000/-.
