punishable under Section 8 read with Section 20 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985 (in short, “Act, 1985”) in Case Crime No.446 of 2025, registered at Police Station Bhagwanpur, District

Haridwar.

2. According to the First Information Report dated 21.12.2025, on 20.12.2025, the applicant was apprehended on suspicion at around 20:37 hrs. The police recovered 218 gm. charas from a polythene bag held in his hand. Thereafter, he was searched by the

police. He was arrested at 21:20 hrs.

3. Heard Mr. Gaurav Singh, learned counsel for the applicant and Mr. Pradeep Lohani, learned Brief Holder for the respondent.
