3. The Applicant is an accused in connection with FIR No. 0029 of 2026 dated 11.02.2026, registered under Section 103(1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023, at Police Station Dalanwala, District Dehradun.

4. Learned counsel for the Applicant submits that the present Applicant seeks short-term bail to enable the Applicant to participate in the last rites ceremony of her deceased son on sympathetic grounds.

5. Learned State Counsel vehemently opposes the short-term bail application, contending that the Applicant is the main accused in a heinous offence and that the proper forum for seeking such relief would have been the Trial Court at the first instance.
