This Contempt Petition has been filed alleging wilful disobedience of the order dated 09.04.2024, passed in WPMS No. 807 of 2024. By the said order, following directions were issued:-

“6. The writ petition is, therefore, disposed of with a direction to the competent authority to consider claim of the petitioners for allotment, whenever the exercise for allotting land under Section 198 of ZA&LR Act is undertaken. District Magistrate, Udham Singh Nagar is directed not to divert the surplus land for purposes not permitted by law.”

2. Heard Mr. I.D. Paliwal, learned counsel for the petitioners and Mr. C.S. Rawat, learned Chief Standing Counsel for the respondent nos. 1 and 3.
