In the High Court of Uttarakhand, the present case arises from Bail Application filed under Section 483 of Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023, seeking regular bail for the Applicant – Vishal, who has been accused in FIR/Case Crime No.21 of 2026, dated 10.01.2026, under Sections 103 (1) and 3 (5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023, at Police Station Kotwali Haridwar, District Haridwar.

4. Learned counsel for the Applicant submits that the Applicant has filed the present short term bail application on the ground that Applicant is pursuing BA. L.L.B, course from South Point Law College, Village Joshi Chauhan, District Sonipat, District Haryana, and the Applicant has successfully passed 7th Semesters, and at present studying in 8th Semester and the examinations of 8th Semester is scheduled from 16.05.2026 to 11.06.2026. In this regard, the learned counsel for the Applicant has annexed the examination date sheet along with short term bail application.

5. Considering the overall facts and circumstances of the case, this Court is inclined to grant the short term bail for a period of twenty four days’ to the Applicant. Hence, the short term bail application of the Applicant is allowed. The Applicant is directed to be released on bail for a period of twenty-four days from the date of his actual release, subject to the furnishing of his personal bond and two reliable sureties each of the like amount to the satisfaction of the Magistrate concerned.

6. It is rest assured, that as soon as the aforesaid time period of the short term bail expires, the Applicant would be surrendering himself before the Jail Superintendent, of the concerned jail.
