3. By the instant writ petition, the petitioner is praying for the following reliefs:-

i) Issue a writ order or direction in the nature of certiorari quashing the condition of upper age limit as 42 years on applying for the Uttarakhand Combined State Civil/Lower Subordinate Services Examination Group-C as contained in condition no 4 of the said advertisement dated 13.12.2024 (Annexure No. 2)

ii) Issue a writ order or direction in the nature of mandamus commanding and directing the respondents to grant relaxation to the petitioners in the upper age limit by giving parity of Uttarakhand Civil Service (Executive Branch) Rules 2005 and permit the petitioners to participate in the present recruitment examination.

4. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has already submitted representation seeking age relaxation in view of age relaxation rules, i.e. Uttaranchal Public Service (Relaxation of Age limit for recruitment)
