(2) Petitioner has approached this Court seeking police protection, as according to petitioner, he is receiving threats from respondent no. 5 to 8.

(3) Learned Counsel for the petitioner referred to an order dated 11.11.2021, passed by a coordinate Bench of this Court in Writ Petition (Criminal) No. 1959 of 2021, whereby SSP, Dehradun was directed to provide protection to the petitioner. The said writ petition, however, was disposed of vide the order dated 5.4.2022 with a direction to SSP, Dehradun to take a decision as to whether protection is necessary to be continued or not, keeping in view the threat perception to the petitioner.
