Since the above mentioned appeals arise out of a common award, they are being heard and decided together.
2. Both the above appeals are preferred by the appellants/claimants challenging the impugned award dated 29.03.2016 passed by the Additional Motor Accident Claims Tribunal, (henceforth ‘the Act’) (FTC) Korba, (CG) in Claim Case Nos. 45/2014 and 46/2014.

By the impugned award, the learned Tribunal has assessed the compensation to the tune of Rs. 6,78,000/- on account of death of deceased Chhotu Chouhan and Rs. 6,68,000/- on account of death of Surendra Markam in an accident that took place on 08.03.2014 by rash and negligent driving of the respondent No.1/driver and owner of the offending vehicle Bus bearing registration No. CG-12X/0489 which was insured with the respondent No.3/Insurance Company. It is alleged that when the deceased along with his friend Surendra Markam was coming on his motorcycle bearing No. CG 12 AE/5038 towards Belgari Basti, Balco, near the turning of the Belgari culvert, driver of the offending vehicle bus, being driven rashly and negligently, dashed the motor cycle from behind as a result of which he sustained grievous injuries and died on
