ORDER

Date : 19-04-2021 Heard Mr. M.A. Sheikh, learned counsel for the petitioners, who submits that the petitioners are working as Gaonburahs under the Gaonburah Association of Dhubri District in their respective lots. The petitioners have been discharging their duties as Gaonburah since

2006.

2. The petitioners counsel submits that the petitioners had been allowed to discharge their duties as Gaonburah in their respective lots vide Order dated 08.10.2014 passed by the Deputy Commissioner, Dhubri District, in pursuant to the Order passed by this Court in WP(C) No. 2489/2014. However, the petitioners have not been paid their salaries as Gaonburah, even though they have been appointed as Gaonburah vide Order dated 08.10.2014 passed by the Deputy Commissioner, Dhubri. He submits that the representations submitted by the petitioners in this regard have not yielded any result and as such, they have to approach this Court for redressal of their grievances.

3. Mr. R. Borbujari, learned counsel for the Revenue Department and Ms. S.S. Roy, learned counsel appearing for the respondent No. 3 submit that the petitioners are not entitled to any salary from the Government, inasmuch as, they have no
