Date : 16-09-2021 Heard Mr. N.K.Luikham, learned counsel for the petitioners and also heard Mr. C. T Jamir, learned Sr. counsel appearing for the private respondents and Moa Imchen, learned Addl. Sr. Government Advocate appearing for the State respondents.

The brief facts and circumstances leading to the filing of this writ petition as submitted by the learned counsel are as follows;

Wokha Town Baptist Church which is the mother church of all the Baptist Churches in Wokha Town, in course of time has increased in the number of its members, therefore the three respondents who initially came into existence as fellowships under its fold, wanted to have their own independent entity for better management and growth. Therefore, the mother church in a meeting held on 30.12.2016 decided to release them as independent churches after having a meeting and after the celebration of 100 years anniversary. Thereafter, in a meeting held on 25.03.2017 the Wokha Town Baptist Church Deacons’ Board decided to release them after celebration of 100 years on 28th & 29th December, 2019. The resolution/decision of Deacons’ Board stated above was approved by the General body of the mother church on 25.03
