Learned A.G.P. has tendered a copy of the letter dated 13th/

14th October, 2022 from the Special Land Acquisition Officer

informing that an amount of Rs.8,31,20,720/-, as directed by this

Court vide order dated 19/09/2022 has been deposited with the

Registry of this Court. Copy of the said letter is taken on record.

The Registry is, accordingly, directed to permit the petitioner to

withdraw the said amount on the terms and conditions mentioned

in the said order dated 19/09/2022.

2.

Perusal of the letter dated 13th/14th October, 2022 indicates

that the Special Land Acquisition Officer has deposited only a

sum of Rs.8,31,20,720/-, though this Court has directed the said

amount be deposited with accrued interest, if any. The said letter

does not indicate whether any interest is accrued in the said

amount.

We direct the Special Land Acquisition Officer to deposit

the accrued interest on the said amount, if any, within four weeks

from today with intimation to the petitioner’s counsel.

4.

If any such amount is deposited by the Special Land

Acquisition Officer, the Registry shall permit the petitioner to

withdraw such accrued interest also, on the same terms and

conditions as set out in the order dated 19/09/2022. It is made

clear that the the withdrawal of the amounts is without prejudice

to the rights and contentions of the petitioner.

5.

Contempt petition is disposed off in the aforesaid terms.

6.

No order as to costs.
