It is submitted that the petitioners have been awarded certificate
of excellent work, however, they are not given the benefit of additional
increments.

We have heard the learned A.G.P. and the learned Advocate for
respondents no. 3 and 4 in Writ Petition Nos. 5554/2021 and
5553/2021.

In case, the petitioners are awardees of the excellent work prior to
24.08.2017, then the authorities of the Zilla Parishad after confirming
that the petitioners are awarded certificates of excellent work, shall
consider the case of petitioners for additional increments as laid down
under the Government Resolution governing grant of additional
increments to the excellent work awardee teachers.
The same shall be decided on its own merits within a period of six (06)

months from today.

It is made clear that the Government Resolution dated
24.08.2017 does not have retrospective operation and will not be
applicable to the teachers who have been awarded certificate of
excellent work prior to the said Government Resolution.

The writ petitions are disposed of. No costs.
