Heard Mr. Karandikar the learned counsel for the respondent and

Ms. Mhaispurkar the learned APP for State.

The present appeal challenges the judgment and award

passed by the learned Jt. Civil Judge S.D. Ratnagiri dated

14-9-1996 in Land Acquisition Reference No. 18/93. The Land

admeasuring 1H. 90.2R. belonging to the appellant has been

acquired. The notification under sec. 4 was issued on 1-9-1989.

The collector had determined the compensation at Rs. 37803/-.

Being aggreived thereby a reference has been preferred by the

present appellant. The reference has been allowed and the

compensation has been granted at the rate of Rs. 1000/- per R.
