The applications tendered by the petitioners in both

the petitions for issuance of license, as contemplated under Section

5D of the Maharashtra Agricultural Produce Marketing

(Development and Regulation) Act, 1963, for marketing the

agricultural products directly, are pending for consideration with

the Director of Marketing.

This petition, as such, can be disposed of by issuing

directions to Respondent No.2 to take decision on the

applications/proposals tendered by both the petitioners under

Section 5D of the Maharashtra Agricultural Produce Marketing

(Development and Regulation) Act, 1963, as expeditiously as

possible, preferably within a period of six months from today and it

is accordingly directed.

Both the writ petitions stand disposed of.
