The petitioner has put-forth prayer clause “B” which

reads as under :

“B.

By issuing writ of mandamus any other

appropriate writ in the like nature, the

respondents may please be directed to give

the benefits of Pradhan Mantri Suraksha

Bima Yojana to the petitioner as early as

possible within the period of one month in

the interest of justice.”

The petitioner has tendered her claim form dated

07-11-2020 with the Branch Office of the Bank of Baroda

under the ‘Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana’ .

The learned Advocate representing respondent No. 3

makes a statement on instructions that the claim form of the

petitioner has not yet reached respondent No. 3 -Insurance

Company.

In view of the above, we direct respondent No. 2 to

ensure that the claim form is transmitted to respondent

No. 3 on or before 5^th May, 2022. Thereafter, we expect

respondent No. 3 to take a decision on the said claim on it’s

own merits in accordance with the policy applicable, on or

before 30^th June, 2022.

After respondent No. 3 decides the claim form, the

decision would be communicated to the petitioner

expeditiously.
