Heard the learned Counsel for the petitioners and the learned

Advocate General for the respondent-State.

2. The issue of garbage and waste disposal has been a major problem

in the State of Goa. If prompt remedial measures are not adopted, there

might be serious health hazards. Unfortunately, there has been no

co-ordination between various authorities. In view thereof, we direct that

the following Commitee be constituted forthwith, consisting of :-

(i) Director of Municipal Administration;

(ii) Chief Conservator of Forests;

(iii) Chief Town Planner;

(iv) Chairman of Goa State Pollution Control Board;

(v) Member Secretary of each o
