Heard Mr. Colaco, learned Advocate for the

petitioner, Ms. R. Fernandes, learned Advocate holding for Mr.

Nitin Sardessai, Advocate for the respondent no.1 and Learned

Advocate General for the respondent no.2.

By this application the petitioner seeks confirmation

of the decree dated 15.2.1996 passed by Stockholm County

Court dissolving the marriage of the petitioner and the

respondent no.1. The petitioner and respondent no.1 got

married in Goa and their marriage was registered in the office of

Civil Registrar, Ilhas, at Panaji on 27.2.1984. The respondent

no.1 filed divorce proceedings in Stockholm County Court

against the petitioner and decree of divorce was passed by

Stockholm County Court on 15.2.1996 dissolving the marriage .

Learned Counsel appearing for respondent no.1 has no objection

if the decree passed by the Stockholm County Court is confirmed

by this Court. Accordingly, decree dated 15.2.1996 passed by

Stockholm County Court granting the divorce to respondent no.1

is confirmed. Civil Registrar, Ilhas at Panaji is directed to make

appropriate endorsement in marriage certificate bearing

registration No.56. The application stands disposed of in

aforesaid terms
