PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the

Constitution of India, praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus,

directing the respondents to pay interest on Rs.6,01,836/- which

is belated payment of Pensionary benefits payable on 30.06.2002

which was paid on 30.06.2012 at the rate of 12% interest

compounded annually as per G.O.Ms.No.122, Finance (Pension)

Department, dated 20.02.1995.

In G.O.Ms.No.122, Finance (Pension) Department, dated

20.02.1995, the Government had ordered that when payment of the

Death-cum-Retirement Gratuity (DCRG) benefits has been delayed,

the rate of interest shall be paid at the rate of 12% per annum,

which is to be compounded annually.
