Petitions praying that in the circumstances stated therein and

in the Memorandum of Grounds in CRL.A.NOS.397 & 398 OF 2019 on the

file of the High Court, the High Court will be pleased to suspend

the sentence of Rigorous Imprisonment of Three years imposed upon

the Petitioners under the Judgment dated 11.06.2019 passed in

C.C.No.36 of 1998 by the VIII Additional Principal Judge for CBI

Cases, Chennai and enlarge the Petitioners on bail, pending disposal

of the above CRL.A.NO.397 OF 2019 [IN CRL.MP.NO.8645 OF 2019]

Order : These petitions coming on for orders upon perusing

the petitions and the Memorandum of Grounds in CRL.A.NOS.397 & 398

OF 2019 on the file of the High Court and upon hearing the

arguments of M/S.WARAON AND SAI RAMS, Advocate for the petitioner

[IN BOTH THE PETITIONS] and of MR.K.SRINIVASAN SPECIAL PUBLIC

PROSECUTOR FOR CBI CASES on behalf of the Respondent [IN BOTH THE

PETITIONS] the court made the following order:-

''The petitions have been filed by the

petitioners /appellants / A-10 and A-9, A-14, A-15,

A-16, A-17 and A-18, to suspend the sentence of

imprisonment imposed on them vide judgment dated

11.06.2019 made in Calendar Case No.36/1998 on the

file of the learned Principal Special Judge for CBI

Cases, VIII Additional City Civil Court, Chennai,

https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

pending disposal of the appeals.

The petitioners/appellants are arrayed as

A-10 and A-9, A-14, A-15, A-16, A-17 and A-18 out of

27 accused and A-10 was found guilty of the offences

u/s.120B read with 420, 109 r/w 420, 467, 471 r/w

467, 468 IPC and section 13[2] read with 13[1][c]&

[d] of the Prevention of the Corruption Act, 1988

and 109 r/w 420 IPC [6 counts] and A-9 was found

guilty of the offences u/s.120-B r/w 420, 109 r/w

420, 467, 471 r/w 467, 468 IPC and section 13[2] r/w

13[1][c] & [d] of the Prevention of the Corruption

Act, 1988 and 420 IPC [2counts], 467, and 471 r/w

467, 471 r/w 468 IPC [6 counts] ; A-14 was found

guilty of the offences u/s.120-B r/w 420, 109 r/w

420, 467, 471 r/w 467, 468 IPC and section 13[2] r/w

13[1][c] & [d] of the Prevention of the Corruption

Act, 1988 and 420 IPC [2counts], 467, and 471 r/w

467 IPC ; A-15 was found guilty of the offences

u/s.120-B r/w 420, 109 r/w 420, 467, 471 r/w 467,

468 IPC and section 13[2] r/w 13[1][c] & [d] of the

Prevention of the Corruption Act, 1988 and 420 IPC

[4 counts], 467 [2 counts] and 471 r/w 467 IPC [2

counts] ; A-16 was found guilty of the offences

u/s.120-B r/w 420, 109 r/w 420, 467, 471 r/w 467,

468 IPC and section 13[2] r/w 13[1][c] & [d] of the

Prevention of the Corruption Act, 1988 and 420 IPC,

467, and 471 r/w 467 IPC ; A-17 was found guilty of

the offences u/s.120-B r/w 420, 109 r/w 420, 467,

471 r/w 467, 468 IPC and section 13[2] r/w 13[1][c]

& [d] of the Prevention of the Corruption Act, 1988

and 420 IPC [2counts], 467, and 471 r/w 467 and 109

r/w 420 IPC and A-18 was found guilty of the

offences u/s.120-B r/w 420, 109 r/w 420, 467, 471

r/w 467, 468 IPC and section 13[2] r/w 13[1][c] &

[d] of the Prevention of the Corruption Act, 1988
