PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of
India for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the 1st respondent
to consider and pass orders on the representation preferred
by the petitioner dated 29.05.2019 and prevent social
boycott/excommunication of the petitioner and his family members in
light of the order made by this Court in K.Gopal Vs.State of
Tamilnadu, 2005 4 CTC 241 within the time that may be stipulated by
this Court.

ORDER
The petitioner has filed this writ petition for a Mandamus to
direct the 1st respondent to consider and pass orders on the
representation of the petitioner dated 29.05.2019 and to prevent
social boycott/excommunication of the petitioner and his family
members.
2.The learned counsel for the 1st respondent submits that
appropriate orders will be passed on the representation of the
petitioner dated 29.05.2019.
3.The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that while
passing such orders, the 1st respondent may be directed to comply

with the resolution dated 11.09.2008, wherein it has been clarified
that either the Muthavalli or the Jamath will not resort social
boycott or excommunication of any of the members of the
congregation.
4.Recording the submissions of the learned counsel for the
petitioner and the learned counsel for the 1st respondent, this writ
petition is allowed with a direction to the 1st respondent to pass
appropriate orders on the representation of the petitioner dated
29.05.2019 and dispose of the same, in terms of the resolution dated
11.09.2008, within a period of 4 weeks from the date of receipt of a
copy of this order. No costs.
