Heard learned counsel for the parties.

The petitioner on his retirement as Professor on

29th February, 2004 from G.L.A. College, Daltonganj, Palamau, had

approached this Court for payment of arrears of difference of salary

in unrevised and revised U.G.C. Pay Scale for the period from

01.01.1996 till 31.03.2000. He also made a prayer for payment of

balance leave encashment amount and provident fund dues along

with interest.

According to the petitioner, the leave encashment amount

and the provident fund dues apart from substantial amount as

arrears of difference of salary in unrevised and revised U.G.C. Pay

Scale, have been paid. However, it is submitted that for the balance

amount of arrears of difference of salary, Nil
