Heard the parties.

Petitioner has been made an accused in connection with

Chatra (Sadar) P.S. Case No. 165 of 2018, corresponding to G.R. No.945

of 2018, registered under Sections 467, 468, 461, 471, 420, 409, 406 and

120B/34 of the Indian Penal Code and Section 13 of the Prevention of

Corruption Act, pending in the Court of learned Additional Sessions

Judge-I-cum-Special Judge (ACB), Hazaribagh.

Over a period of time Rs.9,38,00,000/- were embellishment

from account of District and Welfare Office, Chatra. During tenure of

Bholanath Laguri and Ashutosh Kumar. It is alleged that during tenure of

Bholanath Laguri Rs.2,56,00,000/- were embellishment while during

tenure of Ashutosh Kumar Rs.6,50,00,000/- were embellishment.

Over a period of time Rs.9,38,00,000/- were embezzled

from account of District and Welfare Office, Chatra. During tenure of

Bholanath Laguri and Ashutosh Kumar. It is alleged that during tenure of

Bholanath Laguri Rs.2,56,00,000/- were embezzled, while during tenure

of Ashutosh Kumar Rs.6,50,00,000/- were embezzled.

It is further alleged that 12 different bank accounts in the name

of District Welfare Office, Chatra was being operated. In order to shield

themselves from legal punishment,, incriminating documents were burnt by

accused persons. Main allegation of committing fraud was against Indradeo

Prasad. It is alleged that he was kingpin of the entire occurrence.

Learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that

petitioner is ready to deposit of Rs.5,00,000/-.

Regard being had to the facts and circumstances of this

case, the petitioner named above, is directed to be released on bail on

furnishing bail bond of Rs. 20,000/- (Twenty Thousand only) with two

sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned Additional

Sessions Judge-I-cum-Special Judge (ACB), Hazaribagh, in connection

with Chatra (Sadar) P.S. Case No. 165 of 2018, corresponding to G.R.

No.945 of 2018, subject to condition that at the time of furnishing bail

bond, petitioner shall furnish a bank draft of Rs.5,00,000/- in the name of

District Welfare Officer, Chatra and the same shall be handed over to the

Competent Authority for deposing in the account of welfare office.
