The sole appellant, Mehar Ali Ansari faced trial in Sessions Trial

Case No.75 of 2010 [arising out of Sikaripara P.S. Case No.01 of 2010

corresponding to G.R. No.06 of 2010] in the Court of Sri Arun Kumar Singh,

learned District & Sessions Judge-I, Dumka, whereby learned Judge vide

judgment dated 16.02.2012 held the appellant guilty under Section 376 I.P.C.

and awarded ten years rigorous imprisonment and to pay fine of Rs.5,000/-

and in default of payment of fine, to undergo further imprisonment for one

month.

The instant Criminal Appeal was admitted for hearing on

19.05.2012 and L.C.R. was called for as well as Mr. K. S. Nanda, Advocate

was appointed as amicus curiae to assist the Court.

Further, it appears that under order dated 29.01.2018 in terms of

the Rule 3
