The matter was taken up through Video Conferencing. Learned counsel for

the parties had no objection with it and submitted that the audio and video

qualities are good.

Petitioner has been made an accused in connection with

Ghaghra P.S. Case No. 160 of 2020, corresponding to G.R. Case No.169

of 2021, registered under Sections 302, 201/34 of the Indian Penal Code

and Section ¾ of Prevention of Witch Craft Act, pending in the Court of

learned Sub-Divisional Judicial Magistrate, Gumla.

The case diary earlier called for has been received, perused

the same and heard the parties.

It is alleged that on 17.10.2020 mother of the petitioner was

murdered. Suspicion was raised against two different groups of persons.

Firstly against some of the accused that they might have committed the

murder of the deceased as they alleged that she practicing witch craft.

Secondly against the petitioner and another person that they might have

committed the murder of the deceased as they wanted to grab her land.

Apart from suspicion raised there is no other material against the

petitioner on record.

Regard being had to the facts and circumstance of the case,

the petitioner named above, is directed to be released on bail on

furnishing bail bond of Rs. 20,000/- (Twenty Thousand only) with two

sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned Sub-

Divisional Judicial Magistrate, Gumla, in connection with Ghaghra P.S.

Case No. 160 of 2020, corresponding to G.R. Case No.169 of 2021.
