These appeals are filed by the respondent in OP Nos.1156/2006 and 1234/2006 challenging common judgment dated 5/1/2010. Both the Original petitions were filed by the respondent herein. OP No.1156/2006 was filed by the wife for dissolution of marriage and OP No.1234/2006 was filed for return of gold ornaments, money etc. The Family Court decreed both the petitions, against which these appeals had been filed by the husband/respondent before the Family Court.

The marriage between the parties was solemnized on

9/11/2000. Wife contended that at the time of marriage, she was given 150 sovereigns of gold ornaments by her parents and 25 sovereigns by her relatives. A new Maruthi Zen car was also presented to the husband by the petitioner's parents. It is also contended that at the time of ring exchange ceremony, diamond ring having a value of `1 lakh and `5 lakh was paid as cash to the respondent.
