The defeated husband in a divorce petition came up with this appeal aggrieved by the dismissal of the application by the Family Court, Kollam in O.P.(DA)No.340 of 2004.

2. The divorce petition was filed in the year 2004. The marriage was solemnized as early as in the year 1982, more specifically on 23.12.1982. It is admitted that there are two issues in the wedlock, one boy and one girl. Both of them now attained majority. According to the petitioner, the respondent/wife is from a well-to-do family and that his marriage was solemnized while he was a MBBS student. He completed his graduation in Medical Science only in the month of March, 1984 and house surgency was completed in the year 1985. He joined for PG Course on 8.10.1987 and thereafter he was working as a Doctor attached to T.B.Hospital, Kollam. It is further alleged that on 2.6.2000 the respondent/wife behaved in a cruel manner against him by shouting against him at the immediate presence of his friends and he was asked to vacate from the premises in the presence of his friends and thereby he was humiliated and insulted.
