The petitioners in both the appeals are similarly placed persons, who had applied to the post of Assistant Pharmacist, in response to Ext.P1 notification dated 13.06.2014, requiring applications to be made online before 16.07.2014. There were 54 vacancies.
2. The common allegation raised by the petitioners is that they had filled the requisite information in the 'one-time registration'; and then applied through their profile. The essential qualifications required for the post were,- a Degree or Diploma in Pharmacy with two years experience as Pharmacist in a reputed medical store, apart from pass in any basic computer course of not less than three months duration recognised by the State or Central Government and registration with Kerala State Pharmacy Council.
3. The notification also contained the necessary instructions that the candidates were supposed to follow and it was made clear that the candidates are responsible for the correctness of the personal information and that they must ensure the correctness of the information in their profile. It was also made clear that applications once submitted will be received as provisional
