JUDGMENT
Dated this the 6th day of August 2020 This writ petition is filed for police protection.
The first petitioner is a company. The second petitioner is the General Manager of the first petitioner company. The petitioners seek the following reliefs:- i) Directing the 1st, 2nd 3rd and 4th respondents to grant adequate police protection from respondent numbers 5 to 18 and their men to a) Person and life of the officers, workers and representatives of the first petitioner company and their family members.
b) Person and life of the second petitioner and his family members.
2. This Court on 29.06.2020 granted an interim order for police protection. Thereafter, on 22.07.2020 this Court directed the District Labour Officer to hold a conciliation between the petitioners and respondent workers. Now reported that the conciliation has been failed.
3. The dispute essentially arose out of employment and non-employment. This is a matter to be worked out through machineries available under the labour enactments.
The police will have to maintain the law and order. If there is any threat to the life of the officers or workers of the first petitioner company, the police is bound to accord necessary
