JUDGMENT

The petitioner is the claimant in O.P.(MV)No.292 of 2010 on the file of the Motor Accidents Claims Tribunal, Trivandrum. The said claim petition was filed in March, 2010 seeking payment of the sum of Rs.10,00,000/- as compensation for the injuries sustained by the petitioners in a motor accident. In this original petition the petitioner seeks a direction to the Motor Accidents Claims Tribunal to dispose of O.P.(MV)No.292 of 2012, within a time limit to be fixed by this Court.

2. Pursuant to the order passed by this Court on 16.2.2012 the Registry called for a report from the Motor Accidents Claims Tribunal, Trivandrum. The Motor Accidents Claims Tribunal has reported that notice has been served on all the respondents in the claim petition, that respondents 1 and 2, who are the registered owner and driver of the motor car stated to have involved in the accident, have not entered appearance though notices were served on them, that the 3rd respondent insurer has entered appearance, but has not so far filed a written statement and that the case now stands posted to 21.5.2012. The Motor Accidents Claims Tribunal has also stated that though as on 31.1.2012 10756 cases are pending
