JUDGMENT
The petitioner has approached this Court seeking the following prayers:-
(i) issue a writ of mandamus directing the 4th respondent to accept land tax from the petitioner for the land covered under Exhibit P1 registered sale deed.
(ii) Issue a writ of mandamus directing the 3rd respondent to allow Exhibit P-7 and effect mutation of the petitioners covered under Exhibit P1 registered sale deed.
(iii) Issue a writ of mandamus directing the respondent to do necessary correction in the entries in the Basic Tax Register pertaining to the property covered under Exhibit P-1.
(iv) Issue a Writ of certiorari to quash exhibit P10 order issued by the 3rd respondent.
2. Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Pleader.

It is submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner had been in possession of 2 ½ cents of property in Re- Survey No.7/10 (Sy No.301/4) of Edavanakkad Village, Kochi Taluk by virtue of a registered document No.2131/1990. The petitioner's predecessor-in-interest one Ramankutty had been in possession of the property from 1970 onwards and had been paying land tax.
