HIGH COURT OF KERALA
Devan Ramachandran, J
INDUS TOWERS LIMITED – Appellant
Versus
THE DISTRICT POLICE CHIEF – Respondent

Advocates:
SRI.P.DEEPAK

JUDGMENT

The petitioner, which is stated to be a company incorporated under the provisions of the Companies Act, has filed this writ petition seeking that respondents be directed to afford them adequate and effective protection from the obstructive activities of unidentifiable persons of the locality, wherein they are now establishing a telecom tower. They say that they have all the licences and consents required for making the construction but that certain persons, who are not identifiable and who keep changing, are attempting to obstruct these activities for no discernible reason. They thus pray that the respondents be directed to afford them and their workers adequate and effective police protection.

2. Sri.Bimal K.Nath, learned Senior Government Pleader appearing on behalf of the respondents, in response to the afore submissions made on behalf of the petitioner by their learned counsel Sri.P.Deepak, submitted that since the petitioner appears to be having all the relevant and necessary licence and consents to continue with the construction, there will not be any impediment for the Police Authorities to act as and when there is an attempt of commission of any offence by any person
