Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Pleader.
2. This writ petition has been filed, seeking police protection. The petitioner's case is that with regard to certain trees in the compound of the 4th respondent, an order had been passed by the Sub Divisional Magistrate, Chengannur, for cutting and removing the trees on a complaint submitted by the petitioner, by which the 4th respondent was intimated. The petitioner was attacked by the 4th respondent on 01.02.2016. The petitioner has filed a complaint regarding the incident and an FIR has already been registered, being FIR No.248/2016.
3. The learned Government Pleader submits that W.P.(C) No. 4619 of 2016 the 1st accused has already been arrested and the police is also searching for the other accused. It is further submitted that the police is on vigil on the area.
4. In view of the fact that an FIR has been registered and the police is keeping vigil, we see no reason to issue any direction as prayed for. We only observe that in the event any offence is attempted or committed, it is open for the petitioner to file a complaint before the 3rd respondent as and when neces
