JUDGMENT
The petitioner has approached this Court with the following reliefs:
“i. issue a writ in the nature of mandamus or any other appropriate writ order or direction, directing the 2nd respondent to assign the land on Registry and issue a patta in respect of the holding of the petitioner in Sy.No.298/IAIAIA having an extent of 10.05 cents of Agricultural Land in Ambalawayal Village in Wayanad District.
ii. issue a writ in the nature of mandamus or any other appropriate writ order or directions, directing the 2nd respondent to consider Exhibit P7 representation and pass appropriate orders with time frame.”
2. Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Pleader.
3. It is submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that Exhibit P1 application for assignment has been preferred by the petitioner as early as on 1.2.2014 and the same has been forwarded for report by an endorsement on the same date. It is submitted that thereafter, steps have not been taken WP(C).20822/18 2 for assigning the land in favour of the petitioner and for issue of purchase certificate for the same.
