JUDGMENT
The grievance projected by the petitioner, who is a senior citizen, is the lethargy on the part of the Maintenance Tribunal constituted under Act 56 of
2007 in enforcing the order granting maintenance.
2. The petitioner contends that he along with his wife had approached the Maintenance Tribunal and by order dated 03.06.2015, the respondents 2 and 3, who are his son and daughter-in-law, were ordered to pay maintenance at the rate of Rs.6000/- per mensem. According to the petitioner, after having paid a sum of Rs.18,000/- in the year 2015, no further amounts have been paid. In the said circumstances, the petitioner approached the 1st respondent and filed Ext.P2 application seeking for enforcing the order. He laments that no action has been taken till date. It is in the afore circumstances, that the petitioner has approached this Court seeking direction to the 1st respondent to implement Ext.P1 order and also to ensure that the arrears as on date are paid.
3. I have heard Sri.K.N.Radhakrishnan, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Pleader. In the nature of the order that I propose to pass, notice to the party respondents are dispensed with.
