MARY CHAKKAPPAN – Appellant

STATE OF KERALA AND OTHERS – Respondent
The petitioner approached this Court seeking the
following prayers:
(i) To direct the second respondent to take
immediate action to effect construction of the
cana in front of the petitioner's building by
the side of the NH-47 to manage rain water
flowing from the NH-47 in order to check the
alarming flood situation in the petitioner's
building and premises due to summer rain and
the forthcoming monsoon rain, in the interest
of justice.
(ii)To direct the fourth respondent to expedite
action to consider the section 3G application
preferred by the petitioner in LAC No.487/2007
for enhancement of compensation as per NH Act
1956.
(iii)To issue all other appropriate order, direction
to the respondents which is deemed fit and
proper in the interest of justice.
The petitioner's prayer is that for restoration of
canal on either side of the NH-47 after the commissioning of
the four lane track from Mannuthy-Aluva section. This writ
petition was filed as early as in the year 2011. If the
petitioner has any further grievance in the matter, she is
at liberty to take up the matter before the competent
authority. With liberty as above, the writ petition
